Hi, I’m Lisa, and I am a certified professional astrologer from upstate New York, USA.
My Master’s degree is in Adult Education, and I have been a professional Educator for many years, both as a college professor and as the Designated Learning Officer for a large organization.
I have always been drawn to life’s mysteries—to the secrets of the Universe. I’ve always believed in a divine order, a universal consciousness, an orchestrating synergy and synchronicity working gently and quietly behind the scenes in our best interests.
I became interested in Astrology because I wanted to learn more about the timing of life’s events—not just the big events but also the day-to-day trends that were happening around me all the time. I wanted to tune into those energies and their rhythms—to better understand the cycles of life that I witnessed every day in the world. What were they asking of me? How could I successfully meet the challenges they brought with them? What could I expect? Was there a way to see them as opportunities—diamonds in the rough—that could improve and enrich my life?
I already knew myself pretty well, but Astrology affirmed my strengths and acknowledged my weaknesses. It showed me how to leverage my assets and mitigate my shortcomings—what would work for me and what would not.
I had relied on my intuition for many years to help guide me through life, but I wanted more than just a vague sense that everything would be okay. I wanted to know about the nature of the things I was facing, what laid ahead for me, and what my life would be like on the other side of whatever huddle I was currently facing.
Astrology appealed to my love of information, study, data, puzzles, problem solving, mysteries, and detective work. Astrology embodies all these things, and it fascinates and compels me.
My astrological studies allowed me to explore a wide variety of applications and disciplines within this captivating field. But the techniques that resonated most with me were ancient classical predictive techniques of Hellenistic Astrology—which is the branch of Astrology I practice today.
A Little About My Astrological Education
Before graduating, I successfully completed a four-year course of study which included four levels of Astrological study ranging from foundational, intermediate, and advanced coursework.
Through weekly classes, homework, and proctored/graded exams, this course of study covered multiple topics including beginner and advanced astronomy, natal chart calculation, foundational and basic delineation, predictive calculations, classical methods, Uranian, Horary, Electional, Synastry, Natal, Mundane, Rectification, and Consultation. As a lifelong learner, I continue to study in my chosen field of specialization, Hellenistic Astrology, with a number of different masters.
